Course Overview

The PADS Logic Training class will teach you the workflow of creating a design. You will be guided through the steps necessary to capture schematics. Course highlights include generating electrical components, adding/updating parts, generating netlists, generating reports (BOM), and interfacing with PADS Layout.

Detailed lab exercises help reinforce what is discussed during the lectures and provide you with extensive tool usage experience under the guidance of our industry expert instructors.

You will learn how to

  • Customize and work with the PADS Logic interface
  • Create 2D Lines and Text
  • Create Parts Types, Gate Decals, Terminals, Connectors and Off Page symbols
  • Capture a schematic using parts, connections and busses
  • Prepare the PCB Layer Stackup and Design Rules
  • Create Netlists, Report Files, Printing Plots and ECO Files
  • Use the OLE Interface to Pass Netlists and Cross Probe with PADS Layout
